DIY Projects – What You Can DIY vs. What You Should Leave to the Pros

The rule of thumb, if you’re crafty and a wiz with a glue gun, glitter and wire cutters, then you could do more than the folks who aren’t very craft adventurous.

The bottom line with events and weddings is don’t take on more craft projects then you can actual accomplish in the “spare” time you have.  Right, we all have tons of spare time.  You already work 40-60 hours a week and any craft project done right, is going to take on average 10 hours.  Obviously some do not take as long as others; and some will take much longer than others.  So plan your time accordingly.  Many times when you’re doing craft projects yourself, you may not have done this particular project before and it will take longer for the first few then the following duplicates will take.

When you hire the professionals to assist you with projects it may cost you by the hour, but you’ll get great results with a polished appearance.  If your pictures and the overall appearance that your guests see are important to you, you will want these projects done by the professionals.

Another thing you will want to contemplate, especially as Pinterest continues to grows; clients are choosing multiple pictures that they love from multiple different places, different events and different professionals.  Clients should consider their Pinterest pictures as inspirations as they won’t look identical, just similar and that the professional will be blending all of your elements so that all coordinate with your overall décor, the location and your occasions concept.  After all your event or Colorado wedding should reflect you and not several other folks.

What our clients say about us:

We wanted lavender and lights and A Memory Lane Event & Wedding really hit it out of the park. The floral design was elaborate and created the wow factor we desired. You and your team arrived with bouquets that impressed us all …the elaborate décor scheme from the parking lot, throughout the entire ceremony and the reception space – is now the bar for every family wedding that no one else has reached yet. Everything about the decor was perfect and exactly what we had envisioned. Amazing floral archways covered in lights, organza swags filled with light, lavender color explosions and more really made a huge difference in the overall look and feeling of the wedding.  - Lisa
