Murder Mystery Parties

Years ago these where very popular and they are making a come-back – in a bigger than life way. What do I mean?  Let’s say that you decide to stay with the vintage theme; like a 1920’s Speakeasy as a setting.  This murder mystery party would be a theme party at a bar, restaurant or in your home with a complete re-do that resembles a Speakeasy, a couple professional actors are brought in to play your key players, all of your guests come in 1920s costumes and for 3 hours it’s a game of clue with your attendees trying to figure out “who done it!”  Sounds fun, right?  It can be an absolute ball and your guests will never forget it.

Team Building

Creating a team atmosphere in departments or with managers makes the company stronger as a whole.  There are so many things you can do to accomplish this, either with contests, games and awards or outdoor big activities.  First you need to talk to your planner to discuss your overall vision for what you want to accomplish and then let your planner design a game plan that you can pick and choose from.  Your ideal planner should be able to go with the flow and be able to adjust things on the fly.  However, them knowing what your accomplished vision would look like will help to guide your staff in the right direction with you at the helm.

Help your team to play like a team.

Company retreats

Not retreat as in giving up, but retreating together to re-group.

Sometimes it is necessary for the company or a department within a company to take a couple days away from the office and just get back to basics.  Why:  maybe there is a new manager, re-structure of the department or company as a whole, key players possibility retired or there are some personality clashes.

It’s great to get away, air out the dirty laundry and then come together with a clear, clean vision and rally the troops to get ahead of the curve.  Regardless of it being a day, a weekend, or a week – lots can be accomplished in this scenario and building up the department as a comrade situation helps your team to really focus on the big picture when they get back into the office.

Foundation Functions

For those who attend charity balls every month, it’s hard to consistently impress your attendees.  You’ve got to make your event unique, fun, memorable, and be sure to have plenty of pop and sizzle that demands attention.  Stay away from overdone themes, be a little trendy with a throw back to the good ‘ol days when your attendee’s would have been teens or in College gets the best attendance.

Great ideas for this year:  The great round up (western theme), Sex in the City, 80’s hair band look-a-like contest.
