Can’t go wrong!

Shooting at the Federal Court House has fast become my favorite pit stop…     What a great day I had working with Cristina and Scott.    Their energy together was incredible.    She especially was a magnet in front of the camera.    Talk about easy to work with!    Talk about sassy!    I was totally pumped as we said our goodbyes at the Courthouse, knowing I had a camera full of great stuff…     And once I was finished working the images, I was giddy yet again.    The Courthouse truly is a gold mind, as you just can’t go wrong.    Shooting there again on Saturday–for the fourth time in two months–I’m psyched for more great results…
Thanks Christina and Scott for a really fun day!

To include or not to include gift registries…

Pro’s:
Its nice to be able to tell your guests where you are registered so they don’t have to call you, call your parents, call your maid of honor.
Cons:
It is considered rude to include it in or on your invitation.  Instead your wedding website should be included in the invite and then your registries can be included on your website.  Which ultimately is easier, so guests can just click on link and go straight to your registry.  Many older guests still have problems figuring out how to use the internet, but chances are they won’t use the registry anyway.

filigree and milgrain diamond ring - custom made for your desires

In January 2013, I went in to the store and met Linda for the first time. I sat with her to re-design a ring for an heirloom diamond I was removing from a former wedding ring; and it was a rush job since I was leaving the state in less than a week. While discussing the infinite design possibilities with her genius mind, my sister noticed a mount in the case. Oh my goodness…it was perfect. A perfect fit for my finger without resizing, perfect design for me and my style, perfect fit for my diamond. I now have the most phenomenal “Goddess” filigree and milgrain diamond ring I’ve ever seen. Working with Linda and her staff has been one of the most soulful experiences of my life. I feel as if she and I connected on a spirit level. When the work of art was delivered into my hand, tears welled up in my eyes with the beauty of the piece. I am so grateful for the hearts, artistry, and love I experienced on this part of my journey. Thank you for all eternity!

Choosing a Location with the guests in mind

One of the things that event hostess forget and brides sometimes forget, is about your out of town guests.  Usually they have not been to the location before or they are coming specifically for your occasion.  Here’s what things you need to consider for your out of towners.

1.       Do they have kids? Will the kids be coming too?
2.       Find a location that is mostly for the age group coming for them to stay in.
3.       Locate several (10-15) activities that they can go to while they are in town.
a.       Some of these activities  you can incorporate into group activities, and some on your own
b.      If kids are coming be sure to include both children friendly and fun activities for them
too, the parents will be happy you did.
4.       Be sure to include a couple hotels and a couple different forms of transportation and how to reach them.
5.       Maps and a couple items created in the area that your event is taking place in is a really nice touch.  i.e. your event is in Colorado include a map of the area, sunblock, water and some local candies or chocolates.
6.       Above all make it fun!!!
