I'm so excited, we've been asked to help out Sanger Foundation with their next fundraiser. They are a great foundation where all of the proceeds that come in go back to those the foundation assists to pay their medical bills. Check out Sanger Foundations Event here.
We still have our famous bridal show coming up & Spring Group planning sessions are getting under way. This year is super fun already.
This year is going so fast already it's hard to believe that today's my birthday already. Headed for a special lunch with some of my friends to our favorite Mexican restaurant. How fun!
Then I'm heading home to play with my boxer dog, Maxine and watch TV. Its so much fun to be able to play with her. Then she curls up in my lap and falls asleep.
Jennifer Lane, A Memory Lane Event
P.S. The other day I had a meeting with a new client and they asked what the difference is between a couple photographers. One of the photographers although very inexpensive is straight out of school. The other photographer has been shooting exclusively weddings for the last 20 years. To me it's obvious. So let me help to explain. Your fresh out of school artist doesn't have the experience under his belt to really give you the money shot that every bride craves. Although if your only concern is the pocket book. You'll get what you pay for.
Then there's the photographer that has 20 yrs of experience; only shoots weddings and a total expert in his field...but you say; he's three times the price. Again... I say you get what you pay for. He's going to have the knowledge of what angles can make your face look thinner, give the soft light to make the picture look soft and romantic, knows lighting, knows angles and knows how to do it to minimize the costs of editing just by his picture taking knowledge. He not only can get a money shot but several.
Just like the vast amount of knowledge that I've gained over the last 21 years, this photographer will be invaluable to you. Would you like more tips like this?

Smart brides, just like you, are raving about our group planning classes. I just loved being able to assist Ashley, one of our latest brides to attend last years fall session in a test group. Following is what she said about classes at the end of the 3rd class in the session. "OMG, I had no idea that there was so much that I needed to know about planning my wedding and didn't have a clue about. I knew I needed help and have been following you on Facebook forever. What I loved the most is that in 12 hours and over the course of several weeks, you had broke it down into easy to swallow sections to keep it from being overwhelming. Being able to do the work on my own, but being able to ask questions and get the guidance when and where I needed it was truly priceless."
Ashley was fun and totally fabulous to work with. I can't wait to see pic's from her late spring wedding. The coral and ivory color combo with crystals is going to pop in the Littleton rose garden she's chosen for her wedding.
This week we're having a contest. The first bride each work day this week to give us the color scheme details of their wedding on our facebook page receives a complimentary 30 minute phone call with Jennifer to get the answers to any questions you have and need help with. “Huge stress reliever with emphasis on fun and more sparkle for our dollar."
"Before we were referred to Jennifer Lane, A Memory Lane Event, as the bride, I was stressed, not knowing who the quality vendors were and how to find them. I didn''t realize that we knew what we wanted... I had spent so many hours on the internet, searching and looking at so many pictures, products and choices that I was overwhelmed, confused and not finding the impressive sparkle I was envisioning. Growing up in Denver and now living outside the state I felt that we weren''t going to be able to pull our wedding together in time or find the right person who could really understand what we were envisioning and could help us. We had two phone conversations with Jennifer, paid the deposit and in a few days we had a fabulous overview with several options and the pricing for every element for our wedding. Every option to choose from was what we were looking for and included several items that we hadn''t thought of. Jennifer really listened and completely understood our personality and style. Together we all went through the overview and made selections to keep us in budget. She then negotiated on our behalf with all of the vendors we had selected from her suggestions to help stretch my dollars giving us more bang for my buck. When we had a chance to come to town we spent a few hours with my parents and our entourage for tastings and in person location viewing. I had picked them before meeting Jennifer but had only seen them in pictures. And we got to meet most of the vendors all in the same day. It was a long but really fun day and at the end of it, I was so happy and relaxed. Everything was better than we had expected. We can hardly wait for our wedding day. On our second trip to Denver, we were able to see our custom choices and selections in person and were delighted with the quality and just how much Jennifer was able to capture our style just by spending some time with us on the phone and in one day. This has been a fabulous stress free and fun experience. ” —Kristen Doukakis and Franco Martinez

"The Top 5 Candy Buffet Questions & the Answers"
Q: What size scoop should I use?
A: Keep in mind, scoops will scoop. BUT, will the scoop fit inside the containers opening? Smaller scoops are great for small containers / bowls. Small scoops will also aid in "quantity control" A 2 ounce scoop is equal to 4 Tablespoons or 1/4 cup.
Q: How much candy should I purchase?
A: I wish there was a hard fast rule to this question. Some say 1/4 LB per guest, others say 1/2 LB per guest. But it's all about the way your candy looks. Plan by how you want the display to look, not how many guests are coming. Having enough candy is crucial in making your candy buffet look good.
A tip: "Take your candy buffet bags/containers that the guests will be taking home with them to your local grocery store and fill them the types of candy you will have for your event. Then weigh them. Multiply by how many guests, then you will get an idea of the pounds."
Tip: Add something salty or sour: Yummy! Salt or sour GOES with SWEET. Your candy buffet doesn't have to be all candy. Add potato chips or pretzels maybe some sour balls. Fresh fruit and cheese work great as well.
Q: Do I need a scoop for every container?
A: Rule of thumb: If the candy is wrapped, then no scoop needed. Anything you DO NOT want hands or fingers to touch, use a scoop or tongs.
